A Tribute to Iconic Texas Symbols and Landmarks
The exquisite 2024 Texas Gold Round pays homage to the iconic symbols of Texas and one of its most revered landmarks — the Texas State Capitol. This stunning piece features the towering Capitol building prominently on its reverse side, capturing the grandeur of its architecture. The Capitol’s south facade is prominently displayed in the foreground, with the American and Texan flags flying proudly above the entrance. The majestic Capitol dome rises in the background, crowned by the original sixteen-foot tall Goddess of Liberty statue, installed in 1888. The specifications “.9999 Gold • One Troy Oz” are elegantly engraved in an arch above the Capitol, guaranteeing the weight and purity of the round.
Detailed Design
To the right of the Capitol building, the trademarked silhouette of Texas mint mark, the official mint mark for the Texas Mint, is clearly visible.
The obverse side of this high-quality mint strike features Texas’ iconic lone star in the foreground. The smooth engraving of the star is framed by a textured topographical outline of the state of Texas. “TEXAS” is proudly arched over the top of the obverse in large capital letters, with “Precious Metals” inscribed inversely along the bottom. The mintage year is engraved in the bottom left of the round, just southwest of where the Rio Grande borders Texas and Mexico.
Packaging and Presentation
When purchased in a set of 10, the Texas Gold Rounds are packaged in a glossy orange chipboard box with velour flocked interior slots and vacuum-sealed with a holographic tamper-proof seal. Each gold round is enclosed in an individual capsule holder to preserve its pristine condition. The motif of the round is repeated on the lid of the rectangular box, featuring the image of the Capitol at the center and the geographic outline of Texas in white on each end.
