In the early 1900s, there were two Unicorns displayed at the Moat Bridge. After the loss of two pinnacles, it was decided that only one of these mythical creatures, the Seymour Unicorn, would be included in the restoration project. The Seymour Unicorn was bestowed to Jane Seymour by King Henry VIII thus affirming her as his Queen.
