Frequently asked questions

Straight answers on ordering, paying, delivery, storage and selling. Can't find it? Call 1800 880 991 or email orders@perthbullion.com.au.

What do you offer?
A wide range of gold, silver and platinum bullion from globally recognised mints, plus secondary-market bullion at lower premiums. We buy back bullion at full spot*, offer secure allocated storage, and support self-managed super funds. Whether you are a seasoned investor or new to the field, our team is happy to help in store or by phone.
How can I order?
Order online any time at live prices, or visit either store during business hours (no appointment needed). Online orders are paid by bank transfer or cash in store; the price is locked the moment you place the order.
How do I pay for my order?
Bank deposit or RTGS in Australian dollars using your order number as the reference, or cash at our showroom. We do not accept card payments, cheques or payments from international bank accounts. Payment is due within 48 hours of ordering.
When will I receive my order?
Once your payment is matched, orders paid before 14:00 Perth time are dispatched the same business day. We use Team Global Express (next business day to most capital cities) and Australia Post (2–6 business days). You receive the tracking number by email when the parcel is packed, and further emails when it is lodged, awaiting collection and delivered.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes. Orders of 20 or more items ship free, and you can mix and match products to reach it (for example 10 of one 1 oz coin and 10 of another). Orders placed into free storage are not eligible for free shipping later.
Can I cancel my order?
An order is a binding commitment to buy. If an order is cancelled or goes unpaid, our market loss policy applies: a $50 administration fee plus any fall in the spot value of the metal between order time and cancellation. Gains are forfeited. Unpaid orders are reminded on days 3, 6 and 9 and cancelled automatically on day 10. See our cancellations policy for the full wording.
Why am I asked to verify my ID?
Australian anti-money laundering law requires bullion dealers to verify customers whose purchases reach $5,000 in a day. If your order takes today's total to that level, we hold your stock while you verify online (about two minutes). Once verified you are not asked again until your document expires.
Do you offer combined shipping?
Yes, through free storage. Choose 'Store it' at checkout to hold an order in our vault free for 3 months, add further orders, then request a single shipment from your account. The shipping charge for the combined parcel is quoted and paid before dispatch.
Will my coins come in capsules?
Where capsules are available, orders of less than half a tube ship in capsules. Larger quantities ship in mint tubes with void filler to prevent movement.
Can I collect in store?
Yes. Choose click and collect at checkout and pick your store. We check that store's stock; if your items are at the other store we transfer them, and your order is ready within 72 hours of payment. Bring photo ID.
How do buybacks work?
Bring your metal and photo ID to either store. We test it in about a minute and pay 100% of spot* on gold and silver bullion (daily limits apply). Payouts are cash in store subject to cash on hand, or bank transfer processed within 24 hours. Scrap and 22ct are priced on pure content. See the Sell to us page for live rates.

* 100% of spot applies to pure gold, silver and platinum bullion, up to 100 g of gold, 10 kg of silver or 100 g of platinum per person per day; above that we pay 98% of spot. Any single item over 50 g of gold or 1 kg of silver (for example a 100 oz bar) is 98%, and any platinum item over 1 oz is 96%. Gold items over 5 oz, silver items over 5 kg and platinum items over 100 g are priced individually on the day. Non-pure gold such as 22ct sovereigns is 95% of the pure gold content; non-pure silver such as pre-decimal coins is 90% of the pure silver content. We do not buy jewellery or scrap. Rates are set when we test and weigh your metal.
